Get To Know Spesh in 10 Questions
- Who is Spesh when the crowd is gone and the music is off?
A visionary who finds joy in bringing ideas from concept to life and making use of everything around me. A people’s person, too—someone who doesn’t fold, even under immense pressure. - At what moment did you realise you weren’t built for the ordinary 9–5 path?
During my last job at the MTC call centre, I realised that my growth was in the hands of other people and not my own. That didn’t sit well with me. - Grab ’n Go is more than an event — what was missing in the scene that pushed you to create it?
That’s true, Grab ’n Go is more than an event; it’s a fast-food, theme-based lifestyle experience. It’s more than just a sound system and a few stalls. We pride ourselves on how far we go in creating an immersive experience through the setup and the different moments before and during the event. - What’s one risk you took that changed everything for you?
I quit my job and decided to trust my own instincts, following the dream even when it wasn’t clear or guaranteed to work. - What part of entrepreneurship do people glamorise that is actually the hardest?
A big job doesn’t always result in big profit. You must be willing to build your name and reputation, sometimes at the cost of immediate profit. - How do you turn ideas into action without overthinking them?
By breaking them down into small, manageable actions that build toward the bigger goal. Having a strong team around me also plays a major role. - What keeps you going when things don’t move as fast as you envisioned?
The bigger picture. Everything we do daily is designed to move us closer to that goal, so as long as we stay focused, the timeline doesn’t matter. - How important is community to your brand and personal growth?
Community is everything. Nothing grows in isolation. Community drives creativity. Finding the right community to operate in is just as important, go where you can add value and where value is added to you. - What advice would you give to young creatives who are scared to start before they’re “ready”?
You will never be ready. You should have started yesterday, today, you would already be making corrections and improving. - What should people expect next from Spesh and Grab ’n Go in 2026 and beyond?
Bigger and better, that’s the motto. If Spesh as an individual and Grab ’n Go as a brand can do even a little bit better than the year before, that’s a win.
